Levy recounted his initial sighting, stating, "I saw a star that suddenly made a flash of light, it lit up a little more, and then it moved a little to one side and did the same thing again." He initially kept the experience to himself, fearing he would be perceived as "crazy." However, the following night, while with a group, he witnessed the same lights. "We saw the same thing I saw," Levy confirmed. Adding to the eerie atmosphere, a production radio, which was not typically functional as a receiver, began to emit a beeping sound. The interviewer provided historical context, noting that the Teide region has long been a hotspot for observations of unusual lights. He highlighted a significant event in 1987 when a national radio program in Spain organized a gathering of 40,000 people in Las Cañadas del Teide to observe the night sky. According to the interviewer, attendees reported seeing "an object that made a zigzag movement, that launched a flash over the people and then disappeared," an experience strikingly similar to Levy's. The incident underscores the enduring mystery surrounding the skies above Teide, captivating both celebrities and the public for decades.
