Fatal Truck Accident on Rogatica-Foča Road Claims One Life

A fatal traffic accident occurred yesterday on the main road Rogatica–Foča, near Ustiprača, in the village of Mesići. Two trucks and a passenger car were involved. The driver of the passenger car died at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident, which is believed to be due to adverse weather conditions and excessive speed. One truck, carrying a 20-ton trailer, plunged 25 meters into a ravine. Emergency services and a recovery team from SAL-Trans d.o.o. Sarajevo worked to remove the vehicles. "The accident was quite dramatic," said a spokesperson for SAL-Trans. The investigation is ongoing. Despite the tragedy, the swift response of emergency services and recovery teams prevented further loss of life.
