A soccer referee in Mionica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, had to flee angry players after a match in the Second Cantonal League of the Tuzla Canton. The incident occurred on Sunday during a game between OFK Mionica and NK 12. Decembar Rajska. According to Crna-Hronika, after the final whistle, the home team players and coaching staff reportedly chased the referee, dissatisfied with his officiating. A video shows the referee running frantically across a field beside the stadium, attempting to avoid a physical altercation. A witness stated, "The referee was clearly scared and just wanted to get away." He eventually hid in a nearby forest until the situation calmed down. It is unclear if the referee suffered any injuries. The Football Association of the Tuzla Canton has yet to comment, but disciplinary action is expected. This incident highlights ongoing safety concerns for referees in lower-league matches.
