Italian Advert Featuring Diletta Leotta Banned Over 'Sexualised' Content
Italian advertising regulators have banned a television commercial featuring DAZN presenter Diletta Leotta due to concerns about its sexualised nature. The advert, for the shoe company U-Power, shows Leotta in various outfits, including a short skirt, with a child visible in the background. The Advertising Self-Discipline Institute ruled that the advert breached regulations designed to protect children and young people. A spokesperson for the Institute stated, "The advert's content was deemed inappropriate given the presence of a child." Leotta, who also works on DAZN's Serie A coverage, has not yet commented publicly on the ban. The decision highlights the ongoing debate about appropriate imagery in advertising and the importance of child protection standards.
