Suspect Arrested in Arson Investigation Linked to Keir Starmer
A suspect has been arrested by Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism unit in connection with a possible firebomb attack on the home of Sir Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party. The 21-year-old was taken into custody in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. The Metropolitan Police have not yet disclosed the location of the arrest. The arrest comes after two homes linked to the Prime Minister in North London were damaged by fire within 24 hours of each other. A vehicle fire on the same street as one of the attacks is also under investigation. Scotland Yard is currently probing whether the incidents are linked. A spokesperson for Scotland Yard stated today that the arrest relates to all three incidents. Starmer and his family have since moved to 10 Downing Street following his election victory. It is now understood that he rents out his North London property to a different family. The events have raised concerns about the safety of political figures and their families. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected.
