Warsaw, Poland – A Polish travel expert has issued a stark warning to holidaymakers seeking last-minute deals, advising them on how to avoid falling victim to misleading offers and substandard accommodations. The expert, known as Daleko Jeszcze?, emphasized that while last-minute deals can be enticing, many advertised packages, particularly those under 1500 PLN, often lead to significant disappointment. According to the expert, the primary pitfall for many travelers is focusing solely on price without adequately verifying hotel reviews and package details. He showcased examples of hotels in popular destinations like Greece and Tunisia that, despite low prices, offered deplorable conditions. He highlighted that many content creators on platforms like TikTok promote these deals for engagement rather than customer satisfaction. To ensure a successful holiday, Daleko Jeszcze? advises travelers to: "Verify offers, check opinions from the last year, read contracts carefully, and do not make decisions based solely on price." He stressed the importance of understanding what is included in the package, such as registered luggage and transfers, as omissions can lead to unexpected additional costs and inconvenience. Furthermore, he urged travelers who encounter discrepancies to immediately document issues with photos and report them to their local travel representative, and to file a formal complaint upon returning home. "It's better to spend five minutes verifying than to waste seven days in a terrible place," he concluded, underscoring that once a contract is signed and paid for, refunds are often impossible.
