Organist Alexander Uhl Transforms Tokio Hotel Hit on Church Organ, Invites Band to Collaborate
German organist Alexander Uhl has captivated audiences with his unique rendition of Tokio Hotel's iconic hit "Durch den Monsun," performed on a grand church organ. The performance, set against the backdrop of a modern ecclesiastical interior, showcases a compelling fusion of pop and classical music. Uhl, known for his innovative approach to the instrument, expressed his surprise at the song's profound impact when played on the organ. "I would never have thought that this song could unfold such power on the organ," he stated, noting how the piece transforms into an "epic soundtrack" that resonates deeply. The organist has also extended an open invitation to Tokio Hotel members Bill and Tom Kaulitz for a live collaboration. "How about we do this live together? I'll bring the organ – you bring the voice. Church meets stage. Faith meets sound. Pop meets pipes. I would be so in!" Uhl emphasized his desire to push musical boundaries and demonstrate the full potential of the church organ.
