Doctor Explains Beer's Impact on Blood Pressure
A Ukrainian emergency doctor, Dr. Igor Bilik, recently shared a short video discussing the effects of beer consumption on blood pressure. In the video, filmed from his car, Dr. Bilik explains that small amounts of beer may temporarily lower blood pressure. However, he cautions that larger quantities can cause blood vessels to constrict, resulting in an increase in blood pressure. "A small dose of beer, about 300ml, can slightly lower blood pressure," Dr. Bilik states. He adds, "But if you drink more, 0.5 liters or two, you'll have a reflex spasm of the vessels, and the pressure will go even higher." Dr. Bilik's advice highlights the importance of mindful alcohol consumption and the lack of a universally safe alcohol dose. His video serves as a reminder to approach alcohol consumption responsibly and be aware of its potential effects on health.
