Romanian Entrepreneurs' Plea: Digitalization Now!
Romanian Entrepreneurs Demand Digitalization and Centralized Information Systems Focsani, Romania – Cosmin Buzăianu, owner of Electric SRL, a packaging factory operating since 1990, has highlighted the urgent need for digitalization and a centralized information system within Romanian government agencies. In a recent video, Buzăianu criticized the current system, stating that "it takes three weeks for ANAF, ITM, DSV, DSP, and the Environment Agency to learn about a new business, while a death is reported to the state in three minutes." This inefficiency, he argues, leads to significant time and financial losses for entrepreneurs. He called for a system where "data circulates, not people," ensuring information is verified only once and is accessible to all relevant institutions simultaneously. Buzăianu's plea resonates with many Romanian entrepreneurs who face similar bureaucratic hurdles. "We entrepreneurs have invested in software, ERP systems, and automation to work faster and more efficiently," he said. "But if the state continues using paper and stamps, we lose time and money." His video concludes with a call to action: "It's time for Romania to function like a good company: with a centralized system, responsibility, and speed. Let's make the voice of entrepreneurs heard."
