AIFA Warns of Fraudulent Airport Tours: Free Guided Visits Available
Mexico City's Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) has issued a warning to the public about individuals falsely charging for guided tours. These tours are free and available to pre-approved groups. The airport's statement clarifies that the service is provided at no cost to school groups, cultural organizations, government agencies, and those in the aeronautical and commercial industries. "We've received reports of people who are not affiliated with the airport charging visitors for guided tours," a spokesperson stated. The process for officially requesting a guided tour involves submitting a letter to the AIFA director, Dr. Isidoro Pastor Román, with official letterhead, seal, and signature, along with a list of attendees and transportation details. AIFA aims to respond within 24-48 business hours, but requests should be submitted at least 15 days in advance due to high demand. This initiative aims to ensure fair access to the airport's facilities and prevent tourist exploitation.
