Madrid, Spain – The electric vehicle market is witnessing a significant shift with the introduction of the BYD Dolphin Surf, a new model that promises affordability for consumers. Presented by Motor EL PAÍS, the vehicle is highlighted for its competitive pricing, potentially dropping below 12,000 euros when factoring in maximum government subsidies and brand discounts. Its actual price is 19,990 euros, but with a 7,000 euro government aid and a 1,200 euro brand discount, the price becomes highly attractive. The BYD Dolphin Surf is equipped with an 88 horsepower electric motor and a 30 kWh battery, offering an official autonomy of 220 kilometers. Its interior features modern technology, including a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen display. The design emphasizes practicality and space, making it well-suited for urban environments. Experts suggest that this new offering from BYD could put pressure on traditional European car manufacturers to accelerate their development of more affordable electric models to meet growing consumer demand for economical and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
