¿Quién es el verdadero creador de ‘Quico’? No es ni Chespirito ni Carlos Villag…
Marco Antonio Regil asegura que Enrique Segoviano creó a Quico y fue injustamente despedido tras ruptura con Florinda Meza.
MEXICO CITY – A recent interview featuring television personality Marco Antonio Regil has shed new light on the unacknowledged contributions of Enrique Segoviano, a pivotal figure in the creation of iconic Chespirito programs such as "El Chavo del 8." Regil revealed that Segoviano was not only a co-creator but also faced significant personal and professional setbacks, including being removed from the production without due recognition. According to Regil, Segoviano had a romantic relationship with actress Florinda Meza prior to her partnership with Roberto Gómez Bolaños, known as Chespirito. This personal history reportedly played a role in Segoviano's eventual departure from the show. "He was removed from a program he co-created, where he co-created characters and elements," Regil stated, emphasizing the injustice. He specifically cited Segoviano's involvement in developing the famous "bell" sound effect used in the show, noting that it was a live, not special, effect. Regil underscored the deep emotional impact this lack of recognition had on Segoviano. "It was very painful for him, very painful, because he was removed from a program he co-created," Regil explained. He added that Segoviano never received credit for his work, even during public tributes to Chespirito. The interview also touched upon the later evolution of Chespirito's shows, suggesting a shift where characters like "La Chimoltrufia" gained prominence, and Chespirito himself eventually took a secondary role. This revelation offers a compelling, albeit painful, perspective on the complex dynamics behind one of Latin America's most beloved television legacies.
