Toronto, Canada - Actress Amanda Seyfried recently shared insights into her latest film, 'The Testament of Ann Lee,' and her personal approach to beauty standards in Hollywood. Speaking on the TIFF red carpet, Seyfried revealed that director Mona Fastvold implemented a strict 'no makeup or botox' policy for her role in the film. "I'm an actor and that's my job," Seyfried stated, explaining her willingness to embrace the raw aesthetic required for the character. She elaborated on the collaborative spirit of the production, noting, "This journey was incredible. We were in Budapest like dancing and singing and really—like very collaborative. Every single person on this set... we also did this on a crazy tiny budget and we did make sacrifices and it was worth it. Every day was fun. We didn't just survive, we thrived in this world." In a moment of candid humor, Seyfried contrasted her film role with her appearance at the festival. When asked about the 'no botox' rule, she quipped, "I got Botox for this festival to talk to people like you." She clarified that while she personally likes botox, she can sacrifice it for her craft, indicating a professional dedication to her roles. The actress emphasized the positive experience of working on the film, highlighting the humility and team vibe among the cast and crew.
