Motorist Alleges Encounter with "Fake Cop" on Highway, 911 Confirms No Police Vehicle

The video, filmed from inside the motorist's vehicle, shows a black Chevrolet Traverse behind them, at one point displaying blue lights. The driver, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated they were driving when the SUV began to follow them closely. "He was trying to get us to pull over, even when we were in the right lane he pointed at us to pull over," the driver recounted in a text overlay on the video. They also noted that they had given the vehicle multiple chances to pass. Alarmed by the suspicious behavior, the motorist contacted 911. According to their account, after an initial call was disconnected, a second dispatcher confirmed that the vehicle in question was not a legitimate police vehicle. The incident highlights the importance of verifying law enforcement credentials during traffic stops and remaining vigilant on the roads.
