Lagos, Nigeria – A local business owner, known as FOODBANTA, recently shared an unusual customer interaction that led to a unique form of retribution. According to the owner, a customer attempted to defraud their business by sending a fake payment alert. In response, the business owner decided to send the customer a package filled with trash instead of the ordered goods. The video, which has garnered significant attention online, shows the meticulous process of packing the box with what appears to be food waste and other discarded items. The package was then sealed and handed over to a delivery rider for dispatch. The business owner stated that the customer subsequently blocked them upon receiving the unexpected delivery. This incident highlights the challenges faced by small businesses in combating online fraud and the creative, albeit unconventional, ways some choose to respond.
