Fort Worth Zoo Welcomes New Bornean Orangutan, Jiwa Hati

FORT WORTH, TX – The Fort Worth Zoo has announced the arrival of a new resident, Jiwa Hati, a 19-year-old male Bornean orangutan. Jiwa Hati, whose name translates to "soul-heart" in Indonesian, recently relocated from the Pittsburgh Zoo. Zoo officials expressed excitement about Jiwa Hati joining their primate collection. "There’s a new face in the World of Primates," stated a representative from the Fort Worth Zoo, highlighting the significance of his arrival. The orangutan was observed exploring his new habitat, demonstrating his agility by climbing a large net structure and navigating wooden platforms. He was also seen calmly enjoying a snack, settling into his new surroundings.
