Local Fishermen Rescue Exhausted Deer from Araruama Lagoon

In a heartwarming rescue, fishermen in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro, saved an exhausted deer found swimming a kilometer offshore in the Araruama Lagoon. "We were fishing when we saw it," one fisherman recounted. The deer, seemingly disoriented, was brought aboard their boat, where a woolly hat was placed on its head to help calm it. The Environmental Guard believes this is one of at least three deer that have been sighted in the area since last year, highlighting the unusual nature of the event. The deer was safely released back onto land, a testament to the kindness of the fishermen and the successful rescue operation.
