Man Assaults Baby in Brazil, Mistaking Infant for Reborn Doll

The mother of the child, a 25-year-old woman, recounted the events, stating, "He started playing with the baby, then kept insisting it was a reborn doll, even after we told him it wasn't. Then, he slapped the baby, causing swelling." The baby was treated at a local hospital. Mr. Cruz faces charges of assault and is currently in police custody.
