On Saturday, June 7th, the town square was transformed into an open-air cinema for the pre-release screening of "O Enigma de Exu," a GloboNews documentary about the life and legacy of Luiz Gonzaga, the legendary King of Baião. The event was particularly moving for Seu Cosme, a 69-year-old resident of the Monte Belo farm, who had never before attended a movie screening. "I was very moved," he said, "It's very enjoyable, you know? Because we get old, we stay inside, just working...Then I say: I'm going! It's very nice in Exu, which is very difficult, isn't it?" The documentary's directors, Claudio Renato and Luiz Paulo Mesquita, were present and expressed their delight at the community's enthusiastic response.
