Chandler Riggs on Carl Grimes' Death: 'I'm So Happy'

Chandler Riggs reflects on Carl Grimes' death in The Walking Dead. At the recent Atlanta to Paris Last Session, actor Chandler Riggs participated in a Q&A session where he candidly discussed the circumstances surrounding his character's death in the popular TV series, The Walking Dead. He stated, "So it wasn't my decision to leave the show, but ultimately... I always got asked the question at conventions, etc., like if Carl were to die, like how would you want him to die?" Riggs went on to explain that he envisioned a dramatic exit involving "gunfire, explosions," and Carl saving the day. He was pleased with how the final script played out, with Carl's death having a significant impact on the storyline. Riggs concluded, "...and he's still, like, to this day mentioned in shows because he's like, just happens to just leave this legacy that has just left its mark on the show. And it's so cool."
