Drunk Driver, Multiple Violations Lead to Minibus Impoundment on Belarusian Highway
On May 30, 2025, Belarusian traffic police stopped a minibus on the M3 Minsk-Vitebsk highway. The driver was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol (0.54 промилле), using a mobile phone, and not wearing a seatbelt. "The driver's actions endangered the lives of passengers," a police spokesperson stated. Six passengers were transported to Minsk, and four administrative charges were filed against the driver, a 31-year-old Novopolotsk resident. The minibus was impounded.
