MINSK – A new culinary destination, "Mary" restaurant, has officially opened its doors in Minsk's historic Rakovskoe Predmestye district. Currently operating in a test phase with 30% of its full menu, the establishment is offering a 20% discount on all kitchen items to early patrons. "Mary" boasts a contemporary interior characterized by expansive windows and subtle nods to Belarusian national heritage, creating a unique dining atmosphere. The menu, notably presented in the native language, features an innovative take on traditional Belarusian cuisine. Among the highlighted dishes are "kopytka" (a Belarusian pasta equivalent) served with white mushrooms, a beef tartare infused with beetroot, and a distinctive rye bread fondant accompanied by porcini mushroom ice cream. One reviewer described the potato dish with green ice cream as a nostalgic taste of childhood, while praising the kopytka as "very delicious." The beef tartare was also noted for its complex flavors, including mustard sauce, radish, parsley, and egg. The restaurant aims to offer a fresh perspective on local gastronomy, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore its unique offerings.
