CCTV Captures Bag Snatching in Malabon; Suspect Apprehended

A brazen bag snatching occurred at a fast-food restaurant in Malabon City yesterday. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing a man grabbing a woman's bag while she was ordering. The victim struggled with the thief, who ultimately fled with the bag. Police Major Renjie Deimos, of the Malabon City Police, stated, "During the struggle, the suspect used a bladed weapon." The suspect was apprehended later in a hot pursuit operation in Caloocan City. The stolen bag and the weapon were recovered. The suspect, a 33-year-old man, claimed he was driven to the theft by poverty.
