KRAKOW, Poland – A recent social experiment conducted by travel vlogger 'Goodtime Monty' has shed light on the perceived safety of Krakow's bustling Main Square. In a unique test, the vlogger intentionally left a bag unattended for an hour in the busy tourist hub, observing from a nearby cafe to see if it would be stolen. The experiment, which attracted significant online attention, aimed to challenge common assumptions about urban safety. During the hour-long observation, numerous pedestrians passed by the unattended bag. A moment of suspense arose when a young woman picked up the bag, but she promptly returned it, seemingly realizing it did not belong to her or her companions. At the conclusion of the experiment, 'Goodtime Monty' affirmed his belief in Krakow's safety. "I was correct," he stated, referring to his initial assessment. "Poland and the people who visit make it a very safe place." He further noted that, according to some listings, Krakow ranks as the seventh safest city in Europe, surpassing even cities like Bern and Basel in Switzerland. The video's findings suggest that, despite its popularity as a tourist destination, Krakow maintains a high level of safety for visitors.
