Kaštela's "Stories by the Hearth" Festival Ignites Community Spirit with Traditional Fun
Kaštela, Croatia – The City Library of Kaštela recently hosted its enchanting "Priče uz ognjište" (Stories by the Hearth) festival in Gojača Park, bringing together families for a day of traditional games, creative workshops, and heartwarming storytelling. The event, held on June 26, 2025, aimed to foster community spirit and offer screen-free entertainment for children. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities reminiscent of bygone eras. Children enthusiastically participated in sack races, testing their agility and speed. An archery station allowed young archers to practice their aim, while creative workshops saw children engaged in drawing, face painting, and crafting. A spirited tug-of-war competition brought laughter and friendly rivalry among participants of all ages. As evening approached, the festival transitioned to a cozy storytelling session gathered around a crackling campfire, where tales of ancient legends captivated the audience.
