Los Angeles, CA – Tensions escalated during the second day of anti-ICE protests in downtown Los Angeles, as demonstrators gathered near a federal building. A videographer on site, wearing a vest identifying him as "PRESS," documented the unfolding events, noting a significant law enforcement presence, including members of the California National Guard. The The videographer reported seeing officers positioned on the roof of the federal building, stating, "They're actually shooting people from there." He also observed police deploying flashbangs into the crowd and attempting to remove individuals, including media members, from a nearby ledge. Despite these interventions, the videographer emphasized the largely peaceful nature of the protest. "The protests have been incredibly peaceful," he stated, adding that demonstrators were primarily "just demonstrating in front of cops as they set up police lines." He characterized the police actions as "sporadic bouts of violence whenever cops decide it's time to mobilize."
