Fort Lauderdale Shelter Dog Ariel Seeks Forever Home: A Mix of Breeds, a Heart of Gold Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Humane Society of Broward County is seeking a loving home for Ariel, a three-year-old dog with an unusual mix of breeds. Ariel's DNA test revealed a unique combination: 40% Belgian Malinois, 12% Pit Bull Terrier, 10% Akita, 10% Chow Chow, and 9% German Shepherd. "She's one of the most unique mixes we've seen," says a Humane Society representative. Ariel is described as a playful and energetic dog who loves to run and play. She's good with children but has a tendency to bark at cats. "She's rambunctious, she loves to play, and she loves to run around," says Martica Lopez, who visited Ariel at the shelter. Luckily, Ariel's adoption fees have been generously covered by Real Res.
