Fort Lauderdale, FL – Two chihuahua sisters, Honey and Lola, are seeking a forever home after being surrendered to the Humane Society of Broward County. The dogs, just over a year old, were left behind when their previous family moved, leading to initial shyness upon their arrival at the shelter. However, with dedicated care and enrichment from the shelter's behavior team, Honey and Lola have overcome their initial fears. "They greet us with zoomies, happy barks, and remind us every day how resilient and loving dogs can be," said a representative from the Humane Society. The sisters are described as loving people and playing with squeaky toys, and are reported to be good with other dogs and cats. The Humane Society of Broward County hopes to find a home where Honey and Lola can remain together, continuing to thrive side by side. Interested adopters are encouraged to complete a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and visit the shelter at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The shelter opens at 11 a.m. For questions, individuals may call 954-989-3977. Those unable to adopt or foster can support the shelter's mission by donating through their website.
