Unveiling "Operation Midnight Hammer": US Stealth Bombers' Secret Mission to Iran
Whiteman Air Base, Missouri - The United States Air Force recently unveiled details of a highly classified mission, "Operation Midnight Hammer," which saw B-2 stealth bombers deployed to target nuclear sites within Iran. The operation, which involved over 125 US aircraft, utilized a sophisticated deception strategy to ensure its success. According to a report from Inside Edition, seven B-2 bombers initially took off from Whiteman Air Base in Missouri and flew west towards Guam as a diversion. Simultaneously, seven other B-2s secretly headed east, their true destination being nuclear facilities in Iran. The long-range mission, lasting approximately 37 hours, necessitated multiple mid-air refuelings and was supported by US fighter jets for protection. Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel "Stan," a former B-2 pilot, provided insights into the demanding nature of these missions. He described the flights as "extremely grueling" but also "extremely exciting," noting the limited opportunities for rest during such extended periods. The B-2 bombers are equipped with a cot and a microwave oven to support the two-person crew on these lengthy sorties.
