A recent viral video featuring a Beverly Hills brow artist, Veronika Hoyman (@itsmeeeevika), has ignited debate online after she shared a tutorial on self-administering cosmetic injections, referred to as 'Tox.' Hoyman stated in her video, 'Probably needed a hug Learned how to do my own Tox instead,' explaining in her description that she grew 'sick and tired of spending all money & having to go into get it corrected.' The video, which shows Hoyman injecting a syringe into her forehead and around her eyes, has garnered significant attention, with comments reflecting both support and serious concern. One commenter enthusiastically stated, 'Yes ma’am!! Love doing it at home.' However, a registered nurse (RN) issued a stark warning: 'Incorrect injection placement can lead to facial asymmetry, droopy eyelids/brows, difficulty speaking or swallowing, or even respiratory or even cardiac arrest due to a lethal overdose. Please don’t do it yourself if you have no experience!' Medical professionals consistently advise against self-injection of cosmetic substances due to the complex anatomy of the face and the severe risks associated with improper technique, including infection, nerve damage, and vascular occlusion.
