Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico – A distressing situation has emerged in Ecatepec, where a cat has been reportedly trapped inside a federally sealed, abandoned warehouse for nearly three weeks. Local residents, including a concerned individual, have been providing food and water to the feline through a small opening, as direct access to the property is prohibited. According to reports from the individual documenting the case, repeated attempts to solicit assistance from local authorities, including police and firefighters, have been unsuccessful. Officials have cited the federal seals on the warehouse as a barrier to intervention, explaining that tampering with these seals would constitute a federal offense. The individual, who wishes to remain anonymous for now, expressed deep concern for the cat's well-being, noting its apparent fear and hunger. "I cannot live with the idea that he or she is locked inside, hungry, cold, and scared," they stated. A handwritten note, reportedly left by another concerned citizen, has also appeared on the warehouse door, appealing to passersby to leave food for the trapped animal. The individual is now appealing to the public for assistance in raising awareness about the cat's predicament, hoping that increased visibility will prompt a resolution from the appropriate authorities. They have expressed their intention to adopt the cat once it is safely rescued. The warehouse is located in the municipality of Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico.
