While Landau later discovered Cornejo did not have a US visa, Sheinbaum's response emphasizes the need for peaceful political discourse. "Our movement has always been peaceful, and we must always promote peace," Sheinbaum stated. She stressed that any protests should be non-violent and that diplomatic channels should be used to defend Mexicans abroad.
