Dallas, TX – A Dallas mother and her children have reportedly been left homeless following an alleged deed fraud incident that resulted in their eviction. The woman, who identified herself as the rightful homeowner, shared her ordeal in a video showing her belongings scattered across a lawn. According to her account, a man identified as Ryan Layton allegedly filed a fraudulent deed transfer, falsely claiming to be her brother. The homeowner stated she was alerted to the situation by a neighbor who observed U-Haul trucks removing her possessions from the property. Police were reportedly called to the scene, but no arrests were made at the time, as the individuals involved presented documents. A subsequent investigation by a detective reportedly confirmed the woman's legitimate ownership of the property, as records are publicly accessible. The detective then contacted "Eagle's Consulting," the company that allegedly purchased the home from Mr. Layton. The company, however, reportedly ceased communication after being informed of the fraudulent nature of the transaction. Subsequently, an eviction notice was filed against the homeowner, leading to her and her children being removed from their residence. The homeowner is now seeking legal representation in Dallas, Texas, to address the alleged fraud and regain her property. The incident highlights concerns regarding property deed security and the challenges faced by victims of such schemes.
