
Man Arrested After Attempting to Kidnap Girl Twice in One Day at Littleton Safeway
LITTLETON, Colorado – Authorities in Littleton responded to reports of an attempted kidnapping at a Safeway store on June 21, around 11:30 a.m. Deputies were called to the grocery store after an incident involving an 8-year-old girl and a stranger, later identified as Wilson. According to deputies, the girl was shopping with her grandmother when Wilson approached her, placed his hands on her shoulder, and reportedly asked, "May I borrow your child?" Wilson then began to lead the girl out of the store. The girl's grandmother intervened by yelling at him, at which point the girl broke free and ran back to her grandmother. Wilson initially left the store but quickly returned, attempting to take the girl a second time. Store employees, witnessing the second attempt, yelled at Wilson, causing him to flee the scene in his vehicle. Deputies utilized surveillance footage and other investigative means to track down and arrest Wilson. Littleton is located approximately 10 miles south of Denver.
