Kenyan Commentator Questions Unclaimed Burnt Cars, Alleges Deception
Nairobi, Kenya - A local commentator, Fanya Mambo Kinuthia, has publicly questioned the circumstances surrounding cars burned during recent protests, suggesting that the incidents may have been staged. In a widely circulated video, Kinuthia highlighted the unusual lack of claims for the damaged vehicles, including a Toyota 110 and a blue car, which he stated were worth hundreds of thousands of shillings. Kinuthia asserted that Kenyans are not 'fools' and have conducted their own investigations. He claimed that online searches on the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) database revealed discrepancies, such as a small car bearing a number plate registered to a lorry. "Nobody has come to claim that their car was burnt down," Kinuthia stated, implying a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. His remarks underscore growing public skepticism regarding official narratives surrounding the protests and call for greater transparency from leadership.
