"The pedestrians were pinned under the vehicle and had to be rescued," reported Patel. "One of the men died from his injuries; the other is in critical condition." The driver of the red truck fled the scene, but police stated that they are actively investigating and believe they have identified the suspect. The driver and passenger of the SUV were also injured and transported to the hospital.
