Tears as rescued Chihuahua about to be left in crate leaps for worker's arm
The behavior trainer at the shelter told Newsweek that Celeste showed "an amazing resilience and capacity to adapt."
FORT WORTH, TX – The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is making a special appeal for the remaining Chihuahuas rescued from a recent hoarding case. These small dogs, described as "underdogs" by shelter staff, are seeking patient and committed adopters who can help them transition into loving homes.A recent video released by the HSNT features one such Chihuahua, a light brown dog, interacting gently with a staff member. The dog, initially shy, is seen being comforted and petted, gradually showing signs of affection. According to the HSNT, these Chihuahuas, despite being staff favorites, may require a few visits and adherence to specific bonding protocols to warm up to new people."We only have a few Chihuahuas left from the hoarding case of over 30," stated a representative from the Humane Society of North Texas. "Someone willing to put in a couple visits and follow our bonding protocols will be rewarded with a loyal, humorous, and pocket-sized companion for life."The HSNT encourages potential adopters to consider these resilient dogs, emphasizing the profound bond that can be formed with them. Those interested in adopting one of these Chihuahuas are invited to visit the Humane Society of North Texas to learn more about the adoption process and meet the available dogs.
