A recent viral video depicting a chair-throwing incident at a holiday resort has prompted one of the individuals involved, Kian Harratt, to release a detailed account of the events. The incident, which occurred by a swimming pool, reportedly stemmed from a confrontation between a larger man and Mr. Harratt's 18-year-old friend. According to Mr. Harratt, the situation began when the larger individual, described as "6,6 and built like a brick," was "swimming over to young couples... trying to make the lad feel uncomfortable flirting with there girls." An initial playful splashing by Mr. Harratt's friend escalated when the larger man allegedly shouted, "wtf are you looking at," and subsequently punched Mr. Harratt's friend in the face, then "proceeded to kick him in the face while he was down." Mr. Harratt stated that the widely circulated video clip was cut, omitting the preceding events. He explained that he and his friends intervened to defend their companion. "I tried staying out the way as I don’t want the trouble," Mr. Harratt recounted, "a chair then got lobbed towards me so I picked the chair up and threw it back and it accidentally hit the woman."
