Aussie diner sparks war of words with restaurant owner
Kiana said she booked a table at Misc in Parramatta Park, western Sydney, for 11.15am for Sunday brunch.
Parramatta Diner Shares 'Worst Experience Ever' at Local Restaurant A local diner, Kiki Picky, recently shared a scathing review of her experience at Miski, a restaurant in Parramatta, detailing a series of service failures that left her deeply dissatisfied. In a video posted online, she recounted arriving five minutes late for her 11:15 AM reservation only to be immediately rushed to order due to an impending kitchen closure. According to Picky, her group ordered two Mediterranean platters but received only one basket of bread with two small pieces. When they requested more, they were initially told the kitchen was closed, then informed another basket was, in fact, coming. Later, at 12:30 PM, just an hour into their meal, staff presented an EFTPOS machine and asked them to leave, citing a two-hour seating policy for groups of four. Picky stated she checked her reservation confirmation and the restaurant's website but found no mention of such a policy. Despite her attempts to order drinks and clarify the situation, staff allegedly disappeared for extended periods. Picky highlighted the lack of genuine apology or compensation, with the only explanation being that the restaurant was "really busy." She expressed disappointment, stating, "This is really not a way to run a restaurant, especially the fact that we booked... and we were literally asked to leave." She concluded that the experience reflected a significant decline in hospitality standards.
