Torture Allegations Emerge From El Salvador Prison Tied to Trump Policy
American Citizen Files Shocking Lawsuit Alleging Torture in El Salvador Prison A lawsuit has been filed by American citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who claims he endured "sickening torture" while imprisoned at the CECOT facility in El Salvador. Garcia alleges that he was sent to the prison by the Trump administration and subsequently subjected to extreme physical and psychological abuse, which he describes as a "living hell." According to the lawsuit, guards at CECOT allegedly beat Garcia "savagely with fists and rifle butts." He further claims he was forced to kneel for nine hours nightly, from 9 PM to 6 AM, without access to a bathroom or the ability to sleep. Guards reportedly shone bright lights at him during sleeping hours and banged on cell bars to prevent him from resting. The lawsuit also details severe malnutrition, with Garcia allegedly being granted "only rice and a watery soup." Additionally, he claims guards threatened him, stating he "would be torn apart by MS-13 gang members if he stepped out of line in any way." The video's presenter stated these actions constitute "abuses of international law" and are "everything that the United States of America would ever consider to be inhumane in any way, shape or form." The allegations raise serious concerns regarding human rights and the treatment of detainees.
