Inhabilitación de por vida a los "corruptores" y multas millonarias, fuera los aforamientos
No solamente hay que meter en cintura a los corruptos, sino que también a los que corrompen a políticos y cargos públicos.
Madrid, Spain – In a heated session of the Spanish Parliament, Gabriel Rufián, spokesperson for ERC, delivered a strong condemnation of corruption, calling for drastic measures against those involved. Addressing the chamber, Rufián asserted that the government only takes action against corruption when it is detected by the UCO (Central Operative Unit), rather than proactively. During his address, Rufián proposed severe penalties for corrupt individuals, including lifetime disqualifications from public office and substantial millionaire fines. He also advocated for the complete elimination of parliamentary immunities, known as "aforamientos," to ensure greater accountability. The ERC spokesperson drew a sharp contrast between political factions, stating, "The left cannot steal, this people can," while gesturing towards the Popular Party benches. He specifically referenced figures like Santos Cerdán and Mr. Ábalos in his criticisms. The speech, which was met with applause from some members, underscored ongoing tensions and demands for transparency within Spanish political circles.
