Teenagers Hospitalized After Vaping Adulterated CBD in Toulouse
Several teenagers in Toulouse, France, have been hospitalized after vaping a synthetic cannabis product. The Regional Health Agency (ARS) in Occitanie has issued a warning to schools and families about the dangers of these products, which are sold in CBD shops. The products, known as "Pète ton crâne" and "Buddha Blue," contain psychoactive substances more potent than traditional cannabis. ARS officials have reported cases of seizures, hospitalizations, and potential long-term psychiatric consequences. "We are seeing a concerning increase in the consumption of these products among young people," said an ARS spokesperson. The agency is urging parents to be vigilant and to seek immediate medical attention if their children experience any adverse symptoms after vaping. The sale of these products has been illegal in France since 2017. The ARS is working with schools to educate students and staff about the risks associated with vaping these substances.
