Report Reveals Stephen Miller's Financial Stake in ICE Contractor Palantir

Report Reveals Stephen Miller's Financial Stake in ICE Contractor Palantir Mexico City – A recent report by Rolling Stone magazine, highlighted by Latinus, has revealed that Stephen Miller, a prominent figure in the former Trump administration and architect of its mass deportation policies, holds a financial stake in Palantir, a leading data and intelligence software company. Palantir is a major contractor for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to the report, Miller owns between $100,000 and $250,000 worth of stock in Palantir. This revelation comes as ICE awarded Palantir a $30 million contract to develop software aimed at providing "near real-time visibility" into migrants engaging in "self-deportation." Documents obtained by Wired further detail that the program, dubbed ImmigrantOS, would streamline and prioritize the selection and apprehension of undocumented immigrants. The report suggests a clear conflict of interest stemming from Miller's financial ties to a company directly benefiting from the immigration policies he helped shape. Furthermore, a Project on Government Oversight (POGO) analysis of disclosures found that at least 11 other White House officials and staffers also own stock in Palantir, including Gregory Barbaccia, Trump's Chief Information Officer. This information raises questions about the ethical conduct and potential for self-enrichment within the previous administration's immigration efforts. This development underscores ongoing scrutiny of the financial relationships between government officials and private contractors involved in sensitive public policy areas.
