Dive-Bombing Bird 'Brenda' Terrorizes Village, Forces School to Keep Kids Indoors
Havering-atte-Bower residents are facing an unusual problem: a dive-bombing bird of prey. Nicknamed Brenda by students at Dame Tipping Primary School, the bird has been swooping down on people, forcing the school to keep children indoors during breaks and lunch. "She's been coming between the house and the hedge, flying straight at you with her claws out," said one resident. Headteacher Mrs. McCarthy added, "We decided to bring the children into playgrounds closer to the school rather than our big outdoor compound, but she still decided that she would follow us to each of those play areas, so we had to reach the decision to not take the children outside." Despite the disruption, the video ends on a lighter note with a student sharing her experience with Brenda. This unusual incident highlights the unexpected challenges faced by communities and the adaptability of schools.
