
Belarusian Red Cross: Fostering Patriotism and Compassion
Minsk, Belarus – June 6, 2025. Dmitriy Shevtsov, General Secretary of the Belarusian Red Cross and a member of the National Assembly, spoke today about the vital role of humanitarian aid and fostering patriotism. Shevtsov highlighted the long-standing tradition of helping those in need, stating, "Our grandparents taught our parents, and our parents taught us to be involved in helping others in distress." He stressed the importance of this principle regardless of economic conditions. Shevtsov emphasized the Red Cross's commitment to helping children become volunteers, "In the future, we are raising our true patriots who understand, appreciate, care, love, and, most importantly, help."
