The video features a recording of Lizzy's heartfelt goodbye to her grandfather, affectionately known as Pop Pop. Due to recent heart surgery, Pop Pop was unable to be physically present during Lizzy's last two weeks, a period following her final trip to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jennifer Wampler revealed that the recording was initially made for her father-in-law, who found it too painful to listen to. Lizzy passed away in 2018. Tragically, her mother-in-law followed in 2021, and her father-in-law passed away just 10 months later. The family's journey, marked by profound loss, underscores the devastating impact of osteosarcoma. The foundation aims to raise awareness and support research for a cure, hoping to spare other families from similar heartache.
