Robot Waiter and Harsh Critiques: MasterChef Celebrity Judges Face Culinary Surprises
Mexico City, Mexico – In a surprising twist on the popular culinary competition, MasterChef Celebrity Mexico recently featured content creators and former contestants stepping into the demanding roles of judges. The unusual judging panel, including Lylo Fa, Luis Fernando Peña, Nicky Chávez, Isaías Espinoza, and Iram Mendiola, offered their candid opinions on two distinct menus served by an innovative robot, Servibot. The first service, which included various accompaniments, two sauces, two proteins, and a dessert, largely impressed the panel. Lylo Fa praised the well-prepared rice and the overall quality of the dishes, noting a pleasant surprise at the high standard. However, the second service presented a significant challenge. Dishes such as a shrimp preparation with pear and cucumber, and a thick red 'adobo' that was mistaken for a sauce, drew sharp criticism. Luis Fernando Peña expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating, "The rice doesn't taste like poblano, it doesn't taste like parsley, it doesn't taste like avocado, it doesn't taste like anything." Nicky Chávez found the second service unpalatable, remarking, "I think no one is liking the second service." Iram Mendiola questioned the coherence of the dishes, feeling that the chefs lacked a unified vision. "All the dishes that were made, they don't seem to have a connection," he commented. "It feels like everyone did what they wanted, and in the end, the ideas didn't come together well." The segment underscored the unpredictable nature of MasterChef, as the host concluded by asking the guest judges to depart the kitchen, reminding viewers that "anything can happen" in the competition.
