Malaysia's TVET Applications to Surge Past 150,000 by June

Malaysia anticipates a surge in TVET applications. Kuala Lumpur, May 19, 2025. The Malaysian government is expecting a significant increase in applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs. According to Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, over 106,000 applications have been received since early April. He projects this number will reach at least 150,000 by June's end. "I am confident that if the application period is extended to the end of June, we will receive at least 150,000 applications," Hamidi stated during a recent announcement. This increase reflects the government's commitment to expanding skilled workforce opportunities. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to equip Malaysians with practical skills for employment.
