Sudden Headache Leads to Three-Car Pile-up in Gopeng

Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia - May 19, 2025 - A 4-wheel drive vehicle driver caused a three-car pile-up at a red light on Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur, KM 19.5, in Gopeng, Perak, yesterday evening. The driver claims he experienced a sudden headache before the incident. According to Gopeng District Police Chief Superintendent Muhammad Nazri Daud, "The incident occurred around 5:20 PM. The driver, approximately 30 years old, failed to control his vehicle, resulting in the collision." The accident caused serious damage to all vehicles involved, but no injuries were reported. The driver will be giving a statement at the police station today. The case is being investigated under Road Traffic Rules 1959 for failing to control the vehicle while driving.
