Malaysian Reservist Pleads Not Guilty to Deception and Unlicensed Ammunition Charges
A Malaysian army reservist, Mohamad Zukifli Azizan, 27, appeared in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court today facing two charges. The first charge accuses him of deceiving his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend by falsely claiming he'd been kidnapped. The second charge involves possession of nine rounds of 5.56mm blank bullets, made in Malaysia, without a license. The alleged deception occurred on May 28th at a residence in Jalan Labu Banting. "The video recording of the incident was a fabrication," said the prosecutor. The court granted bail of RM8,000 for both charges, with one surety. The next hearing is scheduled for July 31st. This case highlights the importance of responsible firearm ownership and underscores the legal consequences of false claims.
